This area is also known as the tropical region of the world, it's located in between 5 and 15 north and south of the equator. As latitude increases so does the length of the dry season. Rainfall is the greatest nearer the equator. Winds here comes from the south west in the northern hemisphere.

Here it has two seasons only. A wet and dry one, of course, hence its name. The hot wet season with temperatures 26 degrees celcius and heavy convectional rain. The wind and rain generally comes from the oceans in West Africa.

Then for the rest of the year is a hot dry season, temperatures during this time during the day can reach up to 40 degrees celcius, and may fall to 10 degrees celicius at night. When high pressure and wind dominates, there is a double peak in temperature coinciding with the overhead sun.

It gets a little cooler during the dry season but becomes very hot just before the wet season. Trade winds take over during the dry season. When the seasons occurs, it tends to be very very wet, when it's the wet season. & very very dry when it's the dry season.

The dry climates are found in lower latitudes, approximately between 18 degrees to 28 degrees in both hemispheres. These latitude belts are centered on the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. Winds here are light, which allows for the evaporation of moisture in the intense heat. This area of dry desert climate covers 12 % of the Earth's land surface.
